This year for the 48Hr Film Experience I’ll be teaming up with Andy and Dar Miller again. This time I am not the front man for team. Andy will be writing and directing this round and I for some insane reason will be acting. Normally I would rather direct and edit but this time I just don’t have the time commit. Leah’s office is having their “End of the Year Party” (Christmas Party *cough*) Saturday night as well so my time is limited. It should be interesting to say the least. I’m going to see if Andy doesn’t mind posting the final product on the site.

On Thursday I hooked up with Andy and Dar Miller at the Flying Saucer a local pub with a huge variety of beer and chicks in shorts skirts. We talked about the up and coming 48Hr Film Experience. Because of my schedule I decided not to put a team together but rather just join Andy’s. It’s been forever since we last joined forces and made a film together. Hell I told him I was even willing to act if need be. He took me up on it. It’s been ages since I was in front of the camera. The last film I was in was Mark Morga’s short film She. That had to be at least two three years ago. It should be interesting.

On Sunday principle photography began for Cup of Joe. It wasn’t to bad of a start. Like an idiot I left my boom mic cable at the house. We managed to get all the audio by mounting the mic to the camera. The mediums and close ups should work for the audio. Whitney, Tasha and Melisa stole the show. Beauty and talent! And the Kirfman did alright to.
But I do have to say, Tasha can work the sex appeal like nobodies business. To bay she is now living in New York. I would to cast her in a few of my future film projects. When I get back to Voices in the Dark projects, I know I want to cast Melisa as Micca Issac’s dead girlfriend.
The year is coming closer to and end so I better get close to completing a script. Last night I finally sat down and started working on The Night Shift. I really didn’t care for the opening scene. Why does the vampire and the hunters end up on the door step of Joel and Tom’s office? It really left me wanting. So far I like the opening sequence a lot more.
Jasso pinged me on Yahoo! this afternoon wanting to know if I wanted to edit Crosshairs. His previous editor doesn’t have time. I told him I would do. Brett will of course take care of the fight scenes. Frankly I’m glad Matthew asked me, because I really want to edit Crosshairs. I told him a few months ago I would do it if the other guys backs out. So I’m glad he did.
I’m still contemplating on whether I want to do the local 48Hr Film Experience this year. I want to but I’ve committed myself to Cup of Joe and I don’t want to flake out on Matthew. So I guess we shall see how the shooting schedule pans out. If not I maybe able to help somebody out. I offered Andy a hand but I haven’t heard anything back from him yet.

I’m not going to hide it, I’m a stats whore when it comes to this site. Lately I’ve noticed that a lot of people are going to the Filmography section and are clicking on the movies but aren’t staying long. This is for one of two reasons. My movies suck and you can’t get past the first 30 some odd seconds or the my visitors are having issues viewing them. If you can’t watch them please let me know and I’ll make sure to rectify it. This maybe a site maintenance weekend. I really want the home page to pull from the blog, as well for visitors to be able to leave feedback on the films as well as send emails when there is an issue. So if you are encountering any problems with the site please let me know.
